Little Pickles Team

Consider becoming part of "Little Pickles" (Fridays 1:30-3:00pm Term time) regularly each week or on a rota basis. There are various opportunities for service - serving refreshments, chatting with the parents, grandparents, playing with the children, organising or helping with craft activities, helping tidy away. There is also a need for setting up of Little Pickles on a regular basis before the session (before 1:30pm). Little Pickles continues to be a great opportunity for outreach - building friendships with families in our community. DBS checks to be undergone as part of our Safe to Grow policy.

WASNAV advertising

A person willing to ensure we have updated adverts in the local village Magazine WASNAV (Wollaston And Strixton News And Views). The adverts at the moment are for The Church, Little Pickles, MAD, WOW. GB has also advertised in the past. It would be the responsibility of the activity leaders to ensure that the individual gets the adverts in time (all via email) and in their proper format so that they can send to WASNAV editor by the deadlines. This is four times a year ( 1st Feb, 1st May, 1st Aug, 1st Nov). There is also the opportunity to submit diary dates of church events. Bozeat Matters also requests from time to time our main church advert. This advertising has been initiated and done by Michael since he came, and we have seen many people come over the years because of the advertising.

Church Chairs

A Person or people who are willing to ensure that the church chairs are arranged in preparation for particular activities: Eg:

  • Clearing the chairs from their rows and arranging them around the perimeter of the room ready for Little Pickles on Friday. This involves stacking many of the chairs. It takes 20-30mins. (GB using the church chairs in their row, so it needs to be done after this)
  • Ensuring that around 100 chairs are set up into rows for the Sunday morning service.
  • Being prepared to put out extra chairs should the need arise, on the Sunday morning as people arrive.
